Shinichi and Ran's class decides to take a trip on a boat, but Shinichi decides against going. He quickly changes his mind when he finds a letter of challenge stating that one kid will be kidnapped during the trip. He is eager to accept the challenge, but when the one that vanishes is Sonoko, Shinichi must use all of his reasoning abilities to find Sonoko and protect the other students. When at first he doesn't succeed, he recieves a call from the kidnapper stating he will now abduct another student at exactly twelve noon. Shinichi must now recover from his previous failure and hope to prevent a tragedy.
Shinichi receives a letter from an unknown challenging him to stop a kidnapping from happening.

The story takes place during the time of the Warring States, when the kingdom of Yan is defending itself against an invasion by the Zhao. Adapted from the novel by Jinyong (aka Louis Cha). This is a sequel to Legend of Condor Heroes and a prequel of sorts to Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre. The story concerns the adventures of Yang Guo, an orphaned boy in a mid-13th Century China.

From his humble beginnings, the street wise Yang Guo gets passed around from one prestigious master to another but none of them will teach him any kung fu. While escaping from a tortured experience under Quan Zhen Sect's Zhao Zhi Jing, he meets Xiao Long Nu, the girl who will become his kung fu master and eventually the love of his life.

Unfortunately, even living inside Xiao Long Nu's cave can't prevent the outside world from interfering with their training and blossoming love. Li Mou Chou, Xiao Long Nu's martial sister, returns seeking their sect's greatest skill, The Jade Heart Manual. Li Mou Chou forces the couple out of the cave and into the outside world where Yang Guo learns that the person responsible for his father's death is the leader of the Beggar Clan, his aunt Huang Rong. Huang Rong, besides being a capable martial artist herself, is also pregnant with the child of the preeminent Martial Artist of this time, his uncle Guo Jing. Avenging one's father's murder is the moral imperative of the time but Guo Jing and Huang Rong were also the ones who took in Yang Guo when he was orphaned.

In addition to this complication, Yang Guo and Xiao Long Nu must endure countless trials, near death experiences, the social taboo that prevents a master and her disciple from marrying, and the impending Mongol invasion of China if they are to live happily ever after.

And the two gradually become attracted to each other while coping with their respective height complexes. Together, they became the laughing stock of their whole school, always caught bickering back and forth. Although everyone claims that they’re a “perfect couple”, both deny it with rage. Fed up, Koizumi set out on a mission to find a fitting boyfriend, but who knows, maybe everyone was right.The pair’s comedic dialog in Kansai dialect is very popular and the manga has sold over 6 million copies of volumes 1 through 12 combined.Obviously these two would make the oddest of couples and would never be a good match for each other right? Well, love doesn’t always follow such logic as Lovely Complex will show.

Like a contagious virus, pretty and athletic girls in their teens start dissappearing around the globe one after another. The mastermind behind these abductions is Madame M (Almen Wong), who plans to train these girls into professional killers. After several years of gruesome training, only Charlene (Maggie Q), Katt (Anya) and Jill (Jewel Lee) survive and become the world's most sought after professional killers. On a recent mission to assassinate someone in Hong Kong, however CIA agent Jack (Daniel Wu), who vows to help her reclaim her past by eliminating Madame M.

The drama series is based on the manga and anime of the same name, both created by Fujisawa Tohru. The story is a sequel of lesser known series Shounan Jun'ai-gumi (Shounan Love Gang) where Onizuka Eikichi's rogue high school days are depicted.

Sorimachi Takashi plays Onizuka Eikichi, a graduate of a third-rate University and the leader of a motorcycle gang, whose lifelong dream is to become a teacher. After being hired by a seemingly eccentric principal, Onizuka begins his unconventional way of teaching a hopeless group of troublemakers. Although he meets much opposition from the students and teachers themselves, his warmth and passion for teaching eventually convinces everyone that Onizuka truly has the makings of a great teacher
